Ender 3 Direct Drive Plate Upgrade Kit
Printing TPU is a mess when you are using standard bowden setup. During prints, the filament tend to jam inside the long PTFE tube and fail prints happen everytime. And also because of the long travel distance, retraction is harder to optimize.
Direct drive puts the extruder atop of the moving nozzle, making it heavier, but you will also gain more precise filament control. Lesser the travel speed, the better for TPU, retraction & accuracy.
